CPAP, report cards, and Mexico

So today Hub got his official sleep apnea diagnosis and prescription for a machine. Through the insurance, the machine is around $1200. I just found them online for under $200! What a ripoff!

I'm doing report cards. Joy. But, a few of my students have really brought their grades up so that's encouraging!

It's only Monday...

Where does time go?

Today, my boss said that the directions she had given me were not the directions she had given me and yelled at me in front of two coworkers. I wasn't so happy. It actually hurt my feelings alot. I had already had a crappy day and I'm sorta stressed out about alot of things so the "misunderstanding" didn't really come at the best time. It is what it is.

Happy Easter

Easter is always a big deal at our church. Today was no exception. Besides about 15,000 people in attendance, there were Harley's riding around the stage and in the sanctuary, the president of the USA, cannons shooting streamers and confetti, break dancers, cheerleaders, and BMX riders doing jumps and flips. Yep, just another Sunday.

Wah, wah, wah

I have a tooth ache. It's more like an entire right side of my head ache. My sinuses hurt, my ear feels cruddy, and my teeth hurt on that side. I think they're all tied into each other somehow. I can't figure out what came first though. Oh well.

My dad had surgery yesterday. Everything went fine. When he was about to be discharged today his blood pressure spiked. It took them nearly two hours to get it to a good level to send him home. I'm glad I've been off this week in order to help out but sheesh! I'd sure like to have some time to just hang out and do things. And again I say, oh well.

Hub went to his mens group at church tonight. Usually it's a nice break for me to have some alone time. Tonight though, I wish he had stayed home. I guess I'm whiney today. And again? Oh well.

I'm not sure what we're doing for Easter. Our friends haven't really said much about it. We were gonna have a bbq for hub's b-day this Saturday but with all of the madness and uncertainty that's been going on for a week now, we decided to just hold off. My dad and his woman won't be up to much since his surgery and all. Plus I think she's doing something with her youngest son. I guess I'll just make a fancy dinner or something. That oughtta be good. Alot of work just for the two of us but, it'd be yummy.

Our dog-ter

This is our child, Jez. She's three now. She isn't the smartest baby on the planet but what she lacks in brains, she makes up for in personality. She's probably just about the sweetest dog you'd ever meet. She's very loving, loyal, and silly. We treat her like a "people puppy". Jez was raised by a siamese cat for the first few months of her life. She still has a hard time of letting go of some of the cats habits. For instance, she walks along the back of the couch, just like a cat would. Sometimes, she likes to be carried on your shoulders, just like the cat did. She's a weirdo. But, she's our weirdo and we love her.

Spring - ish

So hub did sleep lab last night. Evidentally after about two hours asleep, he started having problems and they fitted him with the dreaded mask. I guess it helped him though. So, sometime soon, he'll be getting his own. So the sleep apnea is a result of two things. 1st, scar tissue left behind by tumors that have died during chemotherapy. Second, one of the medications he takes is famous for causing weight gain. This helps the apnea as well.

My dad has surgery in the morning. Everything should go smoothly. I'd just really like to sleep in one day during this spring break. This happened last time I tried to take time off, too. I wound up having to do something almost every day. No rest for the wicked?

Monday, Monday

So today was the first day of spring break. I opened the school anyway. Then I took my dad to his alleged 15 minute doctor appointment. 2.5 hours later (!!!) I was heading for home where I promptly made a turkey sandwich and fell asleep on the couch with the dog. Hub came home from work around 2pm, went to late lunch/early dinner, came home and rushed around for his preparations for sleep lab tonight. Got him out the door and now I'm just vegging. Do people still say vegging?

I'm opening again tomorrow. I'll be free at 7:30am though so it's no big deal. Hub will be free from the sleep lab around 5am. We'll probably meet up along the way and have breakfast. He has the day off so we're planning on hanging out all day. Should be fun.

So tired...

I feel like I'm always tired anymore. Either tired or grumpy. I guess I'm just ready for spring break. It's been a topsy turvy year so far and it's barely the first week of March!
